A heart-wrenching incident occurred on April 14, 2024, as a collision between a motorbike and a Bolero car resulted in the untimely demise of Rajib Mallick (24 yrs), son of Tofazzel Mallick, a resident of Bhanderkhola Mallickpara, PS Kotwali. The accident took place around 12:00 PM at Tarakdaspur near the Bus stop, as Rajib was returning home from Chapra with his friend Ekbal Mallick, riding pillion on his motorcycle bearing registration number WB 52T-3358.The collision, caused by the alleged rash and negligent driving of the Bolero car with registration number WB51B-6348, left both riders severely injured. Rajib and Ekbal were promptly rushed to Shaktinagar District Hospital, from where Rajib was transferred to Kolkata Medical Centre & Hospital via NRS Hospital Kolkata. Despite medical efforts, Rajib succumbed to his injuries on April 17, 2024, at 11:17 AM.Tofazzel Mallick, the grieving father, has lodged a complaint with local authorities regarding the incident.
